Eating healthy is more than just about shedding pounds — though that's definitely a perk. More importantly, a good diet will result in increased energy and help you feel better overall. According to fat-loss coach Chad Hargrove, "This stuff isn't rocket science. There's no special diet." But there are foods that are better for you than others.
In the infographic above, Chad shows the best foods for fat loss on the left and the worst foods on the right.
Best FoodsVeggies Fruit Fish Meats Plant-based protein Meals that aren't loaded with butter and oils
Worst FoodsFast food Candy High-calorie sides Kids' cereal Chips Brownies Anything else you'd probably expect to be in this list
Again, these lists are probably obvious to you, but it can be helpful to see a visual representation of what you should and shouldn't be eating. Chad also noted that eating in moderation won't necessarily help you reverse an unhealthy diet. The best advice? Stick to the foods to your left, and you will see results.
