Model Kelsey Merritt's Everyday Beauty Look Takes Just 5 Products
Introducing ELLE's new video series, Beauty Haul! We challenge contestants to both shop and apply a full face of makeup with $150 and just 30 minutes.
First up is Kelsey Merritt, the model who made headlines for being the first Filipino model to ever walk the notoriously exclusive Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. On top of that, she has just booked another coveted gig as a 2019 rookie for the Sports Illustrated swim issue. Needless to say, at 22, she's well on her way to supermodel status—and proudly repping her Filipino roots in an industry where South-East Asian faces are few and far between.
We met Merritt first thing in the morning at Sephora in New York's Columbus Circle. She came prepared, wearing sneakers (Balenciaga Triple S, no less) so she could literally run through the store as she created a makeup look on the fly. "This is really hard for me, because I usually take longer than 30 minutes. And I end up splurging when I get to Sephora!" she said.
