Glossier Is Expanding Its Shades of Perfecting Skin Tint
Glossier's Perfecting Skin Tint was one the brand's first launches in the now expansive product range—and remains a favorite. Loved for it's ability to, "even out discoloration and leave your face looking toned, smooth, and dewy," the product is a cult-favorite, yes, but sadly only comes in five shades. But that's about to change.

Over the MakeupAddiction Reddit forum, a customer shared an email from the company that promises a Skin Tint reformulation, coming soon. It read:
Thanks so much for purchasing Perfecting Skin Tint! It’s one of the four products that started Glossier (and our skin first philosophy). We work to create innovative and prestige-quality formulas, and, in some cases, that means revisiting the formula of a product in our current lineup. Thanks to extremely helpful feedback from our community, we updated the skin tint formula to improve overall performance (while keeping all of the best parts from the original). You’ll still get the dewy, sheer coverage you know and love, but with smoother application, an updated pigment treatment, and more. The brand confirmed with Allure that the formula update will include ingredients like cork oak, oils, and omega fatty acids that will prevent the pigment from fading over time. More importantly, Glossier reiterated its commitment to serving a diverse group of customers.

"Inclusivity is one of our core values at Glossier, and we want everyone to experience our products," the brand representative said. "We’re currently making more Perfecting Skin Tint shades and plan to launch them within the next year."
Officially reformulated as of June 5, 2018, Glossier is also offering anyone who bought the original formula in the last 30 days a promo code to try the new formula.

Since the Skin Tint product is shade adaptable and low coverage, it's worth noting that the five existing shades do blend into a range of skin tones. That being said, it's encouraging for brands as popular and trend-setting as Glossier to acknowledge shortcomings and promise more shade options (though there's no word yet just how many there will be). As we've seen with the rise of Fenty Beauty and multiple brands now offering extensive foundation ranges, it's clear shoppers won't settle for any less now.
